THE SHORT STORY MADE LONG(ER) ︎︎︎
In the beginning, I liked art.
And coding.
Since I could hold a glue stick, I’ve been making collages, art, and hand-bound books. The whole coding thing started way back when you could still have custom Myspace pages. I taught myself HTML & CSS as a hobby for about five years, so I decided I might as well pursue it officially after high school.
I could never decide between paper or a screen. So I went and got a Double Diploma in Graphic Design & Web Development, at Tractor Design School in Melbourne. There, I was able to explore my interest in coding, alongside my love for print design. After graduating, I started working at a TV commercial production company called Good Oil as a Digital Designer and Director's Assistant.
Though I love problem-solving and logic (hence the coding), I also love hoarding papers, books and textures (hence the book-making).
After spending time working in the digital formats of design, I'm looking forward to exploring and learning more about my other passion – print. (That being said, coding isn't completely off the table. I just would like it to take a back seat for now.)
I also enjoy film photography & vintage cameras, cats, plants, and colour-coding my bookshelves.
